EXPERIENCE THE SEASONS In Val di Fassa

SUMMER: Hiking, Biking, and Relaxation

In summer, Canazei transforms into a paradise for nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts. You can enjoy thrilling hikes and treks through the mountains, tackle via ferratas, explore MTB and E- BIKE trails, cycle along the Dolomites’ mountain passes, and admire the stunning landscapes of Trentino. Staying at Mozart Nesthouse, you’ll experience the magical atmosphere of Val di Fassa, with many activities and events that will make your stay unforgettable.

Ladin traditions also offer insights and events where folklore meets fun; there are also many musical events across the valley, including high-altitude music festivals like The Sounds of the Dolomites and the circus arts festival Circense ma. Not to be missed is the three-day Gran Festa da d’Istà in Canazei during the first weekend of September.

WINTER: Beyond Skiing

Val di Fassa is part of the Dolomiti Superski area, renowned for its exceptional offerings: 450 ski lifts, 12 ski areas and 5 ski tours, including the famous Sellaronda and the Great War Ski Tour.

Your holidays at Mozart Nesthouse will be a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable moments! Canazei is a paradise for skiers, snowboarders, and ski mountaineers. The cross-country ski track, where the Marcialonga takes place in January—an international competition with athletes from all over the world—runs right in front of our property. But if you don’t like skiing, don’t worry! You can explore scenic walking trails, try snowshoeing, go on guided alpine hikes, take horseback rides, or experience ice skating.

The Marmolada Ski School of Canazei is available for group or individual lessons, along with other Ski Tour offers. We recommend booking lessons in advance, especially during high season.

AUTUMN: The Magic of Foliage

September and October are magical months to immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of autumn in the Dolomites, Val di Fassa. Whether at high altitude or in the valley, nature dresses itself in vibrant colors, offering a unique experience amid breathtaking landscapes and Ladin traditions. By mid-October, the larch trees begin to turn a bright yellow, heralding the start of the spectacular foliage season: the leaf carpets, alpine landscapes, and the various shades of red from the beech trees create the perfect backdrop for your autumn adventure in Val di Fassa.

Cycle along the Avisio stream, just steps from our property, and be amazed by the view of the peaks as they prepare for winter. Walks, treks, and bike adventures offer stunning views, while the scent of the forest envelops every moment. Thermal waters or the nearby Dòlaondes pools become a wellness haven for body and mind, preparing you for the slow rhythm of the changing light.

We’re ready to welcome you for an unforgettable autumn adventure!

SPRING: Awaken Your Senses

Some seasons intertwine the time of light with the time of freedom, and spring in Val di Fassa is a story of rebirth and renowned well-being. Step to the window of Mozart Nesthouse and let yourself be embraced by the silence and scents that accompany every new bloom. The forest exudes the warm fragrance of resin, and the sound of the stream, newly awakened from winter, can be heard in the distance. Observe the colors painting the landscapes and be swept away by the emotions that only this season can offer.

Springtime activities include "forest bathing," herb identification walks, and outdoor Pilates: discover your springtime in our facility, where every moment is an invitation to awaken your senses and embrace nature’s joy. For cycling enthusiasts, we recommend the Sellaronda Bike Day, a non- competitive bike event around the Sella massif on roads closed to motorized traffic.

For every season, visit the official website of the APT Val di Fassa to discover updated events, activities, and proposals.
